Final Reflection

1. In terms of presentation skills (using your voice, body language, visuals etc.), what did you learn through the three presentation projects and lessons in AEP?
Through the three presentations, I learned various types of ways to present in front of people and effective ways of using voice and visuals.
I still get nervous when giving presentations, but I learned that it is important to enjoy. I found presenting something that others don't know and providing the listeners with new information through presentation was quite fun!
Also, in terms of skills, I became more conscious with my ways of speaking and ways of using body languages and visuals.

2. What do you want to continue to improve?
Since I still get nervous and tend to speak faster than usual, I want to make myself calm down when giving presentations. Also, I only have the basic skills for making visuals so I hope to learn more and be able to use more effective visuals!

3. (Optional) Any other comments or reflections?
I enjoyed all the classes of AEP and I was able to learn a lot from AEP! What I learned in this class will sure help me! I enjoyed all my classmates presentations and I learned a lot from them too!
Also, looking at the video of myself speaking was embarrassing but very effective way to see what I needed to improve!

At last, Mark and Sylvan!!!! thank you very much for many advice and help!!! I really really enjoyed this class! :)
Hope that someday I would become lover of giving presentations!!!!

  1. Midori,

Here is my feedback to your final presentation.
I was impressed by the way you use your gesture and thought it was very effective. The speed of your talk was excellent and your tone gave the audience an impression that you are enthusiastic about the topic. I also found it great that you emphasized some words so that the message can be delivered effectively.

It was hard for me to find any negative point, but if there is anything that can be improved, maybe you can try to face the audience a little bit more and look at the slides a little less when you talk.

    Fantastic job!
