Self-Analysis & Goal-Setting
Reflection:My goal was to speak slowly. I feel that, compared to my previous experience of presentations, I was able to talk in a clam speed. However, my intonation was quite monotone that it heard like I was giving a reputation in the presentation. Also, I felt that my voice tone was quite high.
Goals:I want to talk more in a lower, calm voice and use more effective use of pausing in the presentation.
2. Body Language (Eye contact, gestures, posture etc)
Reflection:I seem to be moving my hands in a non-meaning way. Also, I had a couple of time looking at the slides while I talked.
Goals:I want to use more effective use of gestures which helps the audience understand more about the content.
3. Visuals (Images or text on slides, timing etc)
Reflection:I was able to use the slides and also a real object for catching the audiences attention. However throughout my slides I feel that it lacks consistency in the use of font and colors.
Goals:I want to improve my skills on making slides and since i couldn't spend a lot of time on making the slides, I would like to work harder on it next time.
4. Preparation Process (Topic selection, notes, visuals creation, rehearsals etc)
Reflection: My goals of this presentation was to give a logical presentation. However, while I talked it seemed that I was adding more information than I was practicing. Also, I practiced by writing a script and memorizing a certain sentences for each slide so I was trying to use that sentence even if it is not connected logically to the previous sentence. For my selection of the topic, I think I choose a good one which is quite familiar to the audience and is interesting to listen.
Goals:For the next presentation, I want to rehearsal my presentation by not memorizing the script but by focusing on catching the points I want to talk with the slides.
5. Any other reflections or goals?
